Thank you for your interest in joining VMA! VMA members manufacture a variety of high-quality industrial valves, actuators, and controls. They value the importance of operating in a safe manner that:

- Is respectful of workers and the intellectual property rights of manufacturers, customers and other businesses
In addition, VMA members meet the following criteria:
Full Member - Manufacturers of valve/actuators/controls
Manufacturers must be incorporated in the U.S. or Canada and be engaged in the design, manufacture and service, from a U.S. or Canadian facility, of valves, valve actuators and controls.
Dues are based on annual net sales of all valves (including commercial and industrial valves, solenoid valves, regulators, back flow preventers, water works valves, and fire hydrants), actuators and spare parts. Net sales refer to U.S. and Canadian invoiced
sales less returns and freight only.
Additionally, VMA member manufacturers meet the following criteria:
- In business (globally) for at least 2 years and must have a physical presence beyond a sales office in the US or Canada.
- The company's net annual sales of U.S. or Canadian manufactured valves, valve actuators or controls must exceed $1 million USD.
- The net value added to the company's products in the U.S. or Canada in the most recent fiscal year are at least 20% of sales.

Associate Membership - Supplier and Distributor/Channel Partners
Supplier Requirements
A supplier, for the purposes of VMA membership, is any company that is incorporated in the United States or Canada and is engaged in the design, manufacture, and service, from a U.S. or Canadian facility, of raw material, components, and/or process equipment used by valve and/or actuator manufacturers. They can also be software, engineering, research and consulting firms. The company is eligible for supplier membership, provided that the follow is met and maintained throughout membership:
- The company has been a supplier to the valve and/or actuator industry for a minimum of two years.
- The company is a supplier to at least one VMA member.
- Net annual sales of raw materials, components and/or process equipment to U.S. and Canadian valve and actuator manufacturers exceeds $1 million USD.
- Net value added to its products in the U.S. or Canada in the most recent fiscal year is at least 20% of sales. (Net value added in the United States or Canada is defined as net sales less net profit less the cost of imported goods.)
- The 2025 dues are $3,785 per year.
Distributor/Channel Partner Member Requirements
A "distributor or channel partner", for the purposes of VMA membership, is a company which is unrelated to any manufacturer member of the Valve Manufacturers Association, takes title to and stocks valves and/or actuators, and sells such equipment
manufactured by at least one manufacturer member of the association. In addition, the company must meet the following criteria. These criteria need to be maintained throughout membership.
- Company must be incorporated in the U.S. or Canada and a distributor or channel partner for at least one (1) VMA member.
- Company needs to be in business in the U.S. or Canada for at least two (2) years OR globally for at least two (2) years and have a physical presence beyond a sales office in the U.S./Canada at the time of joining.
- Company's net annual sales of U.S. or Canadian manufactured valves or valve actuators must exceed $1 million USD.
- The company’s net sales of valves and/or actuators manufactured in U.S. or Canadian facilities in the most recent fiscal year are at least 20% of its total sales of valves and/or actuators.
- The 2025 dues are $3,785 per year.
