Membership

VMA is comprised of leading companies in the industrial valve industry in the U.S. and Canada. Membership is both an opportunity and a commitment to help drive the industry forward. VMA offers two membership categories based on company type:

  • Full Member— Limited to manufacturers
  • Associate Member—Open to suppliers or distributors/channel partners

All VMA members must have a significant presence in the U.S. or Canada, be in business for a certain length of time, be of a certain size, and be committed to VMA's Core Values. Click here to view the full list of membership requirements or contact Heather Rhoderick, President of VMA, for more information. An overview of membership benefits can be viewed here and includes access to member-only events, market and industry statistics and information, networking and benchmarking opportunities, and much more.

ManufacturerS

These companies must be engaged in the design, manufacturing and service— from a U.S. or Canadian facility— of valves, valve actuators and controls. Manufacturer members are full members of the organization, have voting rights, and are able to serve on the Board of Directors. Dues are based on U.S./Canadian sales of valves, actuators and controls.

Suppliers

These companies are a supplier— from a U.S. or Canadian facility— of raw materials, components and/or process equipment used by valve, valve actuator and/or control manufacturers; or any manufacturer of application software that is used by valve and actuator producers to facilitate the manufacture of valve and actuator products; and any research, engineering or consulting firm serving the valve and actuator industry. These companies receive all member benefits and can participate on all committees (except serving on the Board of Directors with voting rights). Dues are a set fee per year.

Distributors/Channel Partners

A distributor/channel partner is defined as a company which is unrelated to any full member of the Valve Manufacturers Association, takes title to, stocks and sells valves, actuators, and controls. These companies receive all member benefits and can participate on all committees (except serving on the Board of Directors with voting rights). Dues are a set fee per year.
