On February 10, 2025, President Trump announced 25% tariffs on steel and aluminum imports from all countries pursuant to Section 232 of the Trade Expansion Act of 1962. The criteria for the addition of downstream derivative products to these measures is unclear for now until further guidance is issued by the Government, but the inclusion of derivatives could easily affect the production and supply chains throughout the industrial valve industry.
