Monday, March 5, 2012
Emerson Process Management has received a contract from the
Shanghai Laogang Refuse Incineration Co. to automate what will be one of the largest
waste-to-energy facilities in China. With a capacity of 3,000 tons of municipal
solid waste per day, the facility will provide a more desirable alternative to
landfilling waste generated by the area’s burgeoning population and economy.
The facility is expected to be operational in June 2013.
