Getting Back to (VALVE) Basics

The Valve Basics Seminar and Petting Zoo took place in Pasadena on Nov. 9-11. It was the first time in three years that attendees were able to participate in this highly interactive event.

The highly engaged crowd spent three days learning about the common types of valves used in multiple applications, an advanced look at flow-control technology beyond the common valve used in specific markets, and how the valves continue to evolve based on current trends.

The event culminated with the Petting Zoo, where attendees had a hands-on opportunity to interact with valves, actuators and our expert presenters. This will be a time to handle, operate and investigate various valve and actuator samples. Each station at the Zoo allowed attendees to get an up-close look at the mechanisms that open and close valves, learn how various sealing components relate to metal valves, and understand specific applications and scenarios that may be unique to their experience.

A big thank you to all of our sponsors who contributed to this outstanding event, ASCO, Bray International, and A&B Stainless. We'd also like to thank the presenters and companies who donated their products for the Petting Zoo, including ATI.
