Flowserve Sells Product Line to Andronaco

Andronaco Industries has entered into a binding agreement to acquire the Polyvalve business, a leader in polyethylene ball valves for natural gas systems, from Flowserve Corporation. Flowserve currently manufactures this product line at its Sulphur Springs, TX and Unieux, France locations. This ball valve is used in natural gas distribution systems around the world and also services the water/wastewater and chemical markets. The product line had revenues of $13 mln in 2008. Andronaco will continue to operate the Polyvalves business in Unieux, France; the Texas operations will be relocated to Kentwood, MI.  This is the fifth acquisition in as many years for the company. Past acquisitions include former VMA members Hills-McCanna and NilCor.
