Flowserve to Expand Manufacturing Capabilities

Flowserve Corporation announced plans to expand its
manufacturing facility in Raleigh, N.C., to increase capacity and improve
operational efficiency.
The latest nuclear plant designs incorporate larger
valves, weighing as much as 67,000 pounds (30,390 kilograms) and standing more
than 20 feet (6.1 meters) tall. Flowserve will add approximately 16,000 square
feet of manufacturing space to the existing Raleigh facility, to allow for the
installation of new machine tools to more efficiently manufacture large valve
components, as well as increase space for inspection, assembly and test. More…
