Saturday, July 31, 2010
Dwight Anderson, a 30-year veteran of the valve industry,
has been named president of Cornerstone Valve. Cornerstone Valve, a Houston-based, global severe-service valve
manufacturing and engineering company, was recently purchased by Robert Clay of
Clay Development & Construction, an industrial real estate developer. Cornerstone Valve designs, builds and
services specialty valves for severe service in aerospace, oil and gas
operations, refining, power generation, chemical and petrochemical production,
pulp and paper, mining and naval applications.
Established in 1990, Cornerstone Valve has 30 employees and operates
worldwide.
Anderson has reconfigured the company, from design to
production to marketing, with new processes and an experienced staff. "Cornerstone Valve’s products have a
reputation for reliability and longevity in the field,” Anderson says. "Our job is to capitalize on the company’s
20-year track record and to expand market share in our specialty areas.”
"The real
opportunity for growth in our business is in producing the highest quality
valves in the shortest time,” Anderson says. "By the end of the year,
Cornerstone will be able to engineer and produce valves in half the time of our
competitors, while maintaining ISO 9001 and American Petroleum Institute
quality standards.” More...
