Curtiss-Wright Flow Control Sales Up 8% in Fourth Quarter

Curtiss-Wright Flow Control sales for the fourth quarter of 2008 were $274 million, up 8% over the comparable prior year period due to strong organic growth. The organic sales increase was led by higher sales to the power generation market, driven by revenues for our AP1000 reactor coolant pumps for new power plants in China and the U.S.
 
Operating income for this segment increased 12% for the fourth quarter of 2008 as compared to the prior year period, all of which was organic. Organic operating margin improved to 14.2% for the fourth quarter of 2008, an increase of 60 basis points over the fourth quarter of 2007. More...
