ITT Named Best Managed Conglomerate by Forbes.com

Forbes.com
has named ITT Corporation to its list of "America's Best Managed
Companies" for 2008, and awarded the company the top spot in the
conglomerates category. ITT was also included on Forbes' list of the "400
Best Big Companies in America," the company's ninth appearance on the list.
Those named
to the Forbes.com list of the "400 Best Big Companies in America" are
chosen based on their sales and earnings growth, debt to total capital,
earnings outlook and stock market returns over a one- and five-year period.
Using these rankings and other data, the editors of Forbes.com select the best
