Valve Magazine, the official publication of the Valve
Manufacturers Association, kicks off another year of publication with the scheduled
mid-January 2009 release of its Winter 2009 issue. With the economy on
everyone’s mind, we’ll be presenting an article on “Money-Saving Tips for Tough
Times,” sure to be of help to valve buyers and users, as well as other plant
personnel who strive to make their plants run at peak efficiency. In addition,
the upcoming issue will include another in the magazine’s popular Back to
Basics series on “The Globe Valve,” one of our industry’s oldest and most
essential valves.
We also offer a preview of one of the topics to be covered
at VMA’s Technical
Seminar on Valve Design and Material
Considerations for Product Globalization, to be held March
6-7, 2009, in Charleston, SC. Read this
article to learn the answer to the question, “Are Your Castings of the Highest
Quality?” Also slated to appear in the winter issue: “Diagnostic Software for
Control Valves” and an article for beginners on “Steam: The Energy Fluid.”
Additional articles will cover maintenance & repair tips
for safety-relief valves, steam traps, materials, and numerous products and
projects. Watch for special sections on
technology/software and products used in HVAC/commercial applications.
