Suspect in Bay Valve Robbery Identified

On May 27, a thief cut a hole in a fence around Bay Valve Service in Longview, WA and got away with multiple stainless steel valves worth thousands of dollars apiece.

Two weeks later, a man walked into Horizon Metal and tried to sell some valves that employees recognized as stolen thanks to a photo provided by the police after the Bay Valve burglary.

“When Horizon Metals workers questioned the man with the valves,” The Daily News writes, “he ran off, leaving the valves and his van behind at the Longview recycling business.” More...
