VMA’s Committees are comprised of members company individuals who help VMA deliver member benefits and execute on the strategic plan. If you are interested in joining a VMA committee, please complete this form.
Industry Markets & Trends CommitteeProvides guidance to VMA’s statistical, market trends, and economic program, and monitors results and forecasts to help identify end-use market trends and new markets. Delivers action-oriented business intelligence based on membership data needs. Assists members with promoting their products and services in the marketplace through VMA programs.
Government Affairs COMMITTEEFormulates the VMA policy agenda around legislative and regulatory issues. The Committee educates and informs lawmakers to help them understand our industry and its integral part in supporting the U.S. economy and way of life, and to explain the potential impact of legislation and regulations would have on our membership.
Manufacturing LEadership CommitteeMonitors and communicates trends and issues affecting the industrial valve industry pertaining to manufacturing and facility management, such as sustainability; environment, health and safety; robotics/digitization; quality; supply chain; additive/3-D printing; workforce and others. Develops content for VMA events, guidance documents, webinars, and provides benchmarking and input on these topics to other VMA Committees.
Education & Events CommitteeProvides guidance on educational content needed by the industry across all disciplines, audiences, markets served, valve types, and throughout the value chain, as well as on the deliverables such as Valve Magazine, events, webinars, certificate programs, etc.
Membership CommitteeEnsures membership value is well-defined and delivered to members, that member companies and individuals are recognized for their efforts and are engaged in VMA programs, and assists in recruiting new members into VMA. Oversees the VMA Awards programs.
Technical CommitteeIdentifies, discusses and advises on key valve industry technical issues and trends across various end-use markets and valve types. This includes identifying best practices, developing white papers/articles, providing input on various external standards development activities, compiling standards and updates to communicate these to members, and working with other organizations and VMA committees as needed to advance valve industry issues. Also develops sessions for the Valve Forum and webinars. |
