2019 VMA Industry Knowledge Forum - EXHIBITOR  REGISTRATION

The 2018 Valve Industry Knowledge Forum, Exhibits program will be held April 10 in Birmingham, AL and is open to VMA/VRC members and industry non-members who wish to exhibit. Exhibit registration includes two people from your company, sign, attendee list, table and participation in food events. Companies that sell or provide service to valve manufacturers and end users should exhibit. This is a table top exhibition. Early Bird rate available to exhibitors through Feb 15.

GREETINGS EXHIBITOR!

 The Valve Manufacturers Association invites you to participate in our 2019 Valve Industry Knowledge Forum. The exhibit portion of the forum takes place on April 10 and is open to table top displays.  We know that attendee traffic is important to you, so we’ve scheduled the attendees’ lunch, afternoon breaks and the Welcome Reception in the exhibit area to guarantee maximum exposure for your company.

 

A LITTLE ABOUT BIRMINGHAM

Nestled at the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains at the cross-section of two major railroads, the city was once the primary industrial center of the southern United States. At the height of the nation’s manufacturing age, the city grew so fast in population, it was called the “Magic City.” Today, Birmingham boasts a vibrant downtown, as well as world-class culinary attractions and upscale shopping.  Birmingham also boasts many historic neighborhoods and is often referred to as the cradle of the American Civil Rights Movement.  The cross between industry and history, makes Birmingham  the perfect backdrop for this year's Valve Industry Knowledge Forum. 

 

WHO SHOULD EXHIBIT?

Companies that sell or provide services to valve manufacturers and end-users. This exhibit program is open to VMA/VRC members as well as industry non-member companies.

 

WHO IS ATTENDING?

Mid-to-senior level management, engineering and technical personnel in valve manufacturing companies, suppliers to the industry, consulting firm personnel, valve repair facilities and end-users, and human resource professionals. This meeting is open to members of VMA/VRC as well as industry non-member companies.

QUALIFICATIONS TO EXHIBIT

  • U.S. and Canadian-based companies that manufacture
  • U.S. and Canadian-based companies that manufacture products or provide services for these manufacturers
  • OEM-certified valve repair and maintenance facilities located in the U.S. or Canada
  • Distributors/channel partners are eligible to exhibit,  as long as they only displaying at least one product line from a VMA member and only display products that are manufactured in the U.S. or Canada
  • Non-Member companies can only exhibit at two programs as a non-member. After two programs, membership in VMA will be requested for future exhibit opportunities.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION - EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION THROUGH FEB 15

Early bird exhibit fees for VMA/VRC members will be $445 through February 15, and $495 thereafter.  Non-member Early Bird exhibit fees will be $495 through February 15 and $545 thereafter. All exhibits are table tops.  Your exhibit fee includes registration for TWO exhibit personnel  from your company, as well as, your table, 2 chairs, a sign, forum attendee list, lunch, afternoon break and Welcome Reception.

 

REGISTERING ADDITIONAL ATTENDEES (OVER THE TWO INCLUDED IN YOUR REGISTRATION FEE)

Additional exhibit  personnel can be registered for $95 per attendee.   

 

OPTIONAL TOURS - April 9 

Each year VMA plans tour(s) in conjunction with the 2019 Valve Industry Knowledge Forum. All tours are open to both member and non-member attendees, as well as exhibitors. and registration is on a first-come, first served basis.  This year’s tours are the Honda Manufacturing Company automotive plant and Kamtek an automotive supplier and manufacturing operation.

 

 

Honda Manufacturing Company

 

Honda Manufacturing Company in Alabama is Honda’s largest light truck production facility producing the Odyssey, Pilot, Ridgeline and the V-6 engines that power them.  Since the start of production in 2001 this manufacturing facility has incorporated innovative manufacturing shared by Honda facilities around the globe.  Operations performed include steel and aluminum blanking, stamping, welding, plastic injection molding, aluminum  casting and machining vehicle assembly, engine assembly and vehicle testing.  The plant is a whopping 4.2 million square feet and produces 340,000 vehicles annually.

 

KAMTEK Manufacturing Company (MAGNA)

 

Magna is a mobility technology company and one of the world's largest automotive suppliers with 340 manufacturing operations and 96 product development, engineering and sales centers in 27 countries. KAMTEK is a metal division of Magna. Kamtek has six press lines that stamping body parts, from smaller parts up to the entire side of a Mercedes SUV, On the manufacturing floor they have  700+ robots for assembling the individual stampings into completed assemblies, two melt furnaces and four high pressure aluminum die cast machines. VMA attendees who participate on this tour, will be able to observe all of the previously mentioned processes.

 

PRE-CONFERENCE WORKSHOP - April 9

A pre-conference workshop on the topic of ASME B16.34 will be offered.  Carlos Davila, will be presenting.  Mr. Davila, has over 48 years of experience in the valve industry.  This workshop will present the latest standards information on content of several Industry Standard organizations such as ASME, API and MSS.  You must have purchased a "Forum Attendance Ticket" to attend the workshop.   

 

DEMONSTRATION - ROBOTICS TECHNOLOGY MOBILE LAB - April 9

A mobile demonstration lab will be available to attendees to tour as part of the Knowledge Forum Technical and Manufacturing educational tracks. The Mobile Training Unit, (MTU), is an instructional tool used by the Robotics Technology Park and its partners in Alabama. The purpose of this lab is to promote an awareness and interest in robotic technology throughout various communities and industrial settings. The demonstration is open to all exhibitors and does not require a ticket. 

 

FORUM ATTENDANCE TICKETS - April 10-11

 Forum admittance is not included in your exhibit registration. If any exhibit attendee wants to attend the forum, please purchase a “Forum Attendance” ticket at time of registration. Member price $500, Non-Member $550.  You must have purchased a "Forum Attendance" ticket to take part in any pre-conference workshops. 

 

HOTEL RESERVATIONS

Accommodations for the Valve Industry Knowledge Forum have been arranged with The Doubletree Perimeter Park, 8 Perimeter Park South, Birmingham, AL. The discounted rate is $139 per night and is available April 8 -11, 2019 ONLY. Discounted rooms on April 11th are limited. The last day to make reservations at this special rate is March 17, 2019.

 

NOTE: There are two Doubletree Hotels in Birmingham. The 2019 Knowledge Forum will be held at the Perimeter Park location, and NOT  in downtown Birmingham.

 REGISTRATION CANCELLATION POLICY

·        Cancellations received up to 30 days in before the event are refundable minus a 5% registration service charge

·        Cancellations received between 15 and 29 days before the event are 75% refundable.

·        Due to hotel event guarantees, cancellations received between 0-14 days before the event are non-refundable.

·        Substitutions will be accepted until April 5 online. After April 5, substitutes must register in person
