VMA/VRC ANNUAL MEETING

RITZ-CARLTON LAKE TAHOE


ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The VMA/VRC Annual Meeting Program Committee has  put together a timely educational program for 2018. Covering a wide range of topics, and the ever popular industry outlook for 2019, The VMA Annual Meeting is a “must attend” for VMA/VRC members.

 

Additionally, a social program including spouse events, golf and other outdoor activities for both attendees and spouses/guests will be available.

 

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

VMA and VRC professionals from all company divisions. We encourage leadership to bring the company's "next generation."

 

REGISTRATION Fees - Early Bird Registration until August 17

The VMA Annual Meeting is open to VMA and VRC members ONLY.

All registration fees include General Session Education Programs, Meet and Greet Reception, Continental Breakfasts, Spouse/Guest Opening Event, Coffee Breaks, Informal Dinner and Reception, Friday Morning Breakfast Speaker, and Closing Reception and Dinner.

 

SPOUSE/GUEST REGISTRATION

Registered spouse/guests are invited to take part in our traditional Spouse/Guest Opening Reception on Tuesday, September 25th. Spouse/Guest registration also includes all food events and off-site Spouse/Guest program on Wednesday, September 26.

 

GOLF

VMA holds two golf events at the annual meeting. The VMA Golf Tournament and the Twellman Skins Golf game. Everyone is welcome to play. Pre-registration for golf will be required and boxed lunches will be available for both the VMA Golf Tournament and the Twellman Skins game.

 

OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES

We encourage all those registered for the meeting to take advantage of the specially discounted rates for group activities that will be available. Attendees can sign- up for optional events when registering. Some of this year’s activities, will include hiking, a historical tour of Truckee, and a Sip and Paint of the beautiful Tahoe scenery!

  

HOTEL AND RESORT INFORMATION - The Ritz-Carlton Lake Tahoe

The Ritz Carlton Lake Tahoe only has a few rooms left at the discounted rate of $259 on the nights of September 25–27. It is anticipated that the room block will be sold out well before the cut-off date of August 31. To check and see what might be available, call 530-562-3000.

 

The closest accommodations to the Ritz Carlton Lake Tahoe, is Tahoe Mountain Lodging located in NorthStar Village just 10 minutes (4 miles) from the Ritz. Tahoe Mountain Lodging has 1 King bedroom condos available for $199 per night, and one-bedroom studios at $189 per night. These accommodations are highly rated on Trip Advisor and are recommended by the resort. VMA does not have a dedicated block, but Tahoe Mountain Lodging has plenty of availability at these price points. If you wish to make reservations at Tahoe Mountain Lodging please call 1-800-466-6784. The address for Tahoe Mountain Lodging is 4001 Northstar Drive, Truckee, CA.

 

While there is a gondola that connects the Ritz Carlton and Northstar properties, it is only operational on the weekends in September. If you are staying at Northstar Village The Northstar guest shuttle will run from 9AM – 10PM during the dates of the conference. There is also a downloadable app for the shuttle “Northstar Transportation”

 

There is no self-park at the Ritz Carlton, and valet charges are $10 per day for Ritz Carlton guests and those who who are staying at Northstar Village. In and out privileges are being extended to those driving to the Ritz for VMA events from Northstar Village so you should only be charged $10.00 per day, and not each time you come and go.


Registration CANCELLATION POLICIES

  • Cancellations received up to 30 days before the event are refundable minus a 5% registration service charge.
  • Cancellations received between 15 and 29 days are 75% refundable.
  • Due to hotel and other event guarantees cancellations of registrations with or without optional activities received between 0 – 14 days prior to the event are not refundable.
  • All cancellations and changes must be in writing and sent to mmaloneblevins@vma.org.
  • Substitutions for optional events will be granted.
