GROUP REGISTRATION

• Within two (2) business days of purchasing the group registration a customized link will be sent to the purchaser.
• The company's registration page will be customized with your logo and text that explains to employees that a group registration has been purchased.
• Each registered individual will receive a confirmation and their own credentials to log in to the virtual event a few days before the event.
• The program will know when the limit of five registrants has been reached. You can always purchase another group registration or individual registrations if needed.

Even though this event takes place with attendees and speakers spread all over North America, everyone will be meeting virtually through the same website. This means attendees will hear and see speaker presentations and ask them questions in real-time, can engage in private one-one-conversations and chats, can participate in robust, small-group discussions on topics of interest, and can learn more about the event sponsors. How is the content delivered?

Attendees will be able to access the event through a unique website dedicated to the Market Outlook Workshop. Audio, video, chat box features and more are on this website. Program information, including a schedule of events, speaker biographies, abstracts and additional topic information will be available through an easy to navigate tabbed layout.

Presentations will begin and end at the scheduled date and time. Once the event has concluded, all content will be viewable.

Can I ask speakers questions?

Yes, attendees will be encouraged to participate in a robust Q&A chat at the end of each presentation. More small group discussion will be available during networking discussion groups.

Will I know who else is in attendance, and how can I network with them?

There are two ways networking can take place – individually and in networking discussion groups. 1) Each attendee will be included in a searchable directory of virtual business cards. These cards will include basic contact information that will allow attendees to directly connect with one another during the event. Contact information isn’t shared directly unless you choose to share it with specific individuals. 2) There will be facilitated networking discussion groups, limited to small groups, on identified topics. If you wish to participate in these, you can do so via your computer video and audio.

What are networking discussion groups?

These are small groups organized by topic, characteristic or even titles to encourage conversation and connection. The groups will not exceed 25 attendees and will be moderated.

What technology requirements do I need to have?

The only requirement is access to the internet! There is no need to download anything on to your computer. You may choose to use your phone or computer for audio. Your computer can be used to view the event. A camera is helpful for the networking rooms, but is not required.

What if I miss a presentation or am late?

Presentations will run live during their scheduled time frame. Once the talk is complete the link will go dead until the conclusion of the Workshop on August 7th. After the entire event has ended, all links will be live again for viewing. Any presentation viewed after its assigned time slot will not offer chat opportunities or a chance to ask questions of the speaker.

How can I follow-up with other attendees after the event?

The attendee directory will remain online and searchable at the conclusion of the Market Outlook Workshop for one year.

REGISTRATION POLICIES

• Registration and attendance at, or participation in, this event constitutes an agreement by the registrant to VMA use and distribution (both now and in the future) of the registrant’s or attendee’s image or voice in photographs, videos, electronic reproductions, and audiotapes of such events and activities.
• VMA events are not open to members of the general public. Only industry individuals/professionals in, or related to the valve industry are permitted to attend.
• All participants agree not to “share” their registration/log-in credentials with others.
• Actions, words, jokes, or comments based on any individual’s sex, race, color, national origin, age, religion, disability, sexual orientation, or any other legally protected characteristic will not be tolerated.
• Participants who do not follow VMA/VRC policies will have their event credentials revoked and will not be issued a refund. Additional actions may also be taken as deemed appropriate by VMA/VRC.
• VMA/VRC does not accept responsibility for any “no-shows” or time spent viewing or participating in the online event. Individuals will be charged for the cost of their registration if they do not follow the cancellation policies.
• All participants in any VMA/VRC meetings/events must adhere to the VMA/VRC anti-trust guidelines. You can find a copy of our Anti-Trust policy HERE.

CANCELLATIONS

• Substitutions are allowed until 24 hours before the event begins.
• Group registration deadline is Friday, November 6, 2020 at 2:00 pm EST.
