The Valve Basics tabletop exhibit provides a cost-effective way to display and promote your company's products and services and provides a unique networking event bringing together manufacturers, suppliers, end-users, engineering students and more!

The Valve Manufacturers Association invites you to participate in our 2019 Valve Basics & Exhibits. The exhibits portion of this seminar takes place on Tuesday and Wednesday, November 12 & 13th from 4:30 - 6:00 pm and is open to tabletop displays. We know that traffic is important to you, so we’ve scheduled the reception for both evenings so that you have plenty of time for networking!


November 12

  • A variety of professionals employed at plants and facilities that use or work with valves, actuators and controls
  • More experienced professionals with knowledge of one specific product type but in need of an overview of the entire spectrum of valves, actuators and controls.
  • New employees at valve, actuator and control companies
  • Personnel from EPC or AEC firms who are involved with specifying valves
  • Distributors and manufacturers' reps who sell these products
  • Companies that provide supplies and services to the industry
  • And anyone who could use a refresher course on valves, actuators and controls!


Exhibitors include: valve, actuator and control manufacturers; distributors of member company products; valve maintenance and repair firms; other companies that sell or provide products or services to manufacturers as well as end-users and EPC firms. All exhibitors must have manufacturing or repair facilities in the U.S. or Canada.



All Valve Manufacturers Association and Valve Repair Council members are eligible to exhibit, as well as:


  • U.S. and Canadian-based companies that manufacture valves, actuators and controls
  • U.S. and Canadian-based companies that manufacture products or provide services for these manufacturers
  • OEM-certified valve repair and maintenance facilities located in the U.S. or Canada
  • Distributors/channel partners provided they only display products that are manufactured in the U.S. or Canada


A NOTE FOR NON-MEMBER EXHIBITORS: Exhibitors who are currently not VMA members, but meet the criteria for membership, may exhibit at up to two VMA tabletop exhibit events. After two events, non-member companies will not be permitted to exhibit unless they apply for, and are accepted, as a VMA member.




The exhibit registration fee includes two people from your company, sign, attendee list, tabletop with two chairs and participation in all food events that take place in the exhibit area. Exhibits are open on Tues., Nov. 12 from 4:30 to 6:00 pm, and on Wed., Nov. 13 from 4:30 to 6:00 pm.   There is no option to register for just one day.  Exhibitors must stay for BOTH days. 

  • EXHIBITOR REGISTRATION MEMBER - $450/$525 after August 31 
  • EXHIBITOR REGISTRATION NON-MEMBER - $500/$575 after August 31

You must log-in to your VMA membership account to receive the member discount. 



Exhibitor registration does not include admittance into the Valve Basics Seminar. If any exhibit personnel wish to attend the seminar, please purchase a SEMINAR ATTENDANCE TICKET  at time of registration. 


To provide a large space in which to conduct our hands-on learning experience, this event is being held at the Houston Area Safety Council (5213 Center Street, Pasadena, TX 77505).



Several hotels are available within a few miles of the Houston Area Safety Council. There are not room blocks at these hotels so please make your reservations directly with the hotel of your choice.

  • Cancellations received up to 30 days before the event are refundable, minus a 5% registration service charge
  • Cancellations received between 15 and 29 days before the event are 75% refundable.
  • Due to hotel and other event guarantees, cancellations received between 0 and 14 days prior to the event the day are non-refundable. 
  • All cancellations must be in writing to Malena Malone Blevins, Meetings Manager 
  • ONLY VMA staff can make changes to existing registration. Substitutions accepted.
