Qualifications

VALVE MANUFACTURER MEMBER QUALIFICATIONS

  • A company must be incorporated in the U.S. or Canada and be engaged in the design, manufacture and service, from a U.S. or Canadian facility, of valves, valve actuators and controls.

     

  • The company must be in production in the U.S. or Canada for a minimum of three (3) years.

     

  • The company's net annual sales of U.S. or Canadian manufactured valves or valve actuators must exceed $1 million USD.

     

  • The net value added to its products in the U.S. or Canada in the most recent fiscal year must be at least 40% of sales.

     

  • Dues are based on annual net sales of all valves (including commercial and industrial valves, solenoid valves, regulators, back flow preventers, water works valves, and fire hydrants), actuators and spare parts. ASSOCIATE (SUPPLIER) MEMBER QUALIFICATIOns

  • A company must be incorporated in the U.S. or Canada and a supplier, from a U.S. or Canadian facility, of raw materials, components and/or process equipment used by valve, valve actuator and/or control manufacturers.

     

  • The company must be in production in the U.S. or Canada for a minimum of three (3) years.

     

  • The company must be a supplier to one of the VMA members.

     

  • The company's net annual sales of a supplies, from a U.S. or Canadian facility, of raw materials, components and/or process equipment used by valve, valve actuator and/or control manufacturers, must exceed $1 million USD.

     

  • The net value added to its products in the U.S. or Canada in the most recent fiscal year must be at least 40% of sales. net value added level must be maintained for continued membership.

     

  • Dues are based on annual net sales to all Valve Manufacturers. Net sales refer to U.S. and Canadian invoiced sales less returns and freight only. Click here to view the dues chart.

 

DISTRIBUTOR/CHANNEL PARTNER MEMBER QUALIFICATIONS

  • A company must be incorporated in the U.S. or Canada and a distributor or channel partner for at least one (1) VMA member. (Click here to see our member list).

     

  • The company must be in operation in the U.S. or Canada for a minimum of three (3) years.

     

  • The company's net annual sales of U.S. or Canadian manufactured valves or valve actuators must exceed $1 million USD.

     

  • The net annual sales of its valves or valve actuators in the U.S. or Canada in the most recent fiscal year must be at least 40% of U.S. or Canadian Manufacturers. Net value added level must be maintained for continued membership.

     

  • Definition of "distributor or channel partner”: a company which is unrelated to any full member of the Valve Manufacturers Association of America, takes title to and stocks valves and/or actuators, and sells such equipment manufactured by at least one full member of the association.
