Dresser Masoneilan Selected as Control Valve Supplier by CNPEC

Dresser Masoneilan has been named control valve supplier
for the Guangdong Taishan Nuclear Power Station Project. The project is owned
and operated by China Nuclear Power Engineering Company (CNPEC), and AREVA NP
is the plant design and construction company.
Guangdong Taishan is China’s first nuclear power plant to
use third-generation nuclear reactor technology, making it more fuel efficient.
The plant is scheduled to begin operation in 2013 as part of China’s initiative
to reduce carbon emissions by replacing coal with nuclear-based power for a
portion of the country’s growing energy demands. More…
