2017 VMA Annual Meeting

The VMA/VRC Annual Meeting Program Committee has put together a timely educational program for 2017. Covering topics such as change management, the new generation of employees and their changing needs, and the challenges of selling abroad. Our Friday morning breakfast speaker Matthew Oczkowski, will talk about the “Trump Effect” and the impact on America. Rounding out the meeting will be the ever popular industry outlook for 2017. The VMA Annual Meeting is a “must attend” for VMA/VRC members.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

VMA and VRC professionals from all company divisions. We encourage leadership to bring the company's "next generation."

 

Registration is open to VMA and VRC members. Golf, Tennis and other optional activities will be in addition to your registration fees.  

 

REGISTRATION

Early Bird Discount until August 14th

Early bird registration fees are $850 before August 14 and $900 thereafter.   You must be a member of VMA/VRC to attend and you must sign in to your individual membership account to register and receive the early bird registration fee. If you have questions about your username and password, or are not sure if your company is a member, please call 202-331-8105 ext 307 or email Simone Roper, at sroper@vma.org.  

 

All registration fees include General Session Education Programs, Welcome Reception, Continental Breakfasts, Coffee Breaks, Informal Dinner and Reception, Friday Morning Breakfast Speaker, and Closing Reception and Dinner Gala.

 

REGISTRATION FOR SPOUSE/GUEST

A spouse/guest is defined as a spouse or significant other who is accompanying an attendee registrant to the meeting.  Spouse/Guest registration is not intended for additional colleagues from your company. Spouse/Guest registration does not include the General Sessions.

 

VMA spouse/guests Early Bird registration fees are $550, before August 14 and $600 thereafter.   


Spouse/Guests registration fees includes the Spouse/Guest Meet and Greet, "Salt of the Earth Experience", Coffee Breaks, Welcome Reception, Continental Breakfasts, Amelia Island Historic Trolley Tour, Informal Reception and Dinner, Friday Breakfast Speaker and Closing Reception and Dinner Gala.

 

REGISTERING ADDITIONAL ATTENDEES FROM YOUR COMPANY

Early bird registration fees are $850 before August 14 and $900 thereafter. You can register other attendees from the same member company, however, you must be able to choose  Optional Activities and Complimentary RSVP events for them at time of registration. 

 

GOLF

VMA holds two golf events during the meeting. The VMA Golf Tournament and the Twellman Skins Golf Game.  Everyone is welcome to play. Both events will be played at the Ritz Carlton Amelia Island Golf Club.  Golf fees and related charges, will be billed to your guest folio and payable upon check-out. Pre-registration is required.

 

TENNIS

VMA also holds a Round Robin Tennis Tournament during the meeting. Everyone is welcome to play. This year's tournament will be held at the Ritz Carlton Amelia Island Tennis Center. Tennis charges will be billed to your guest folio and will be payable upon check-out. Pre-registration is required.   

 

OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES

Registered attendees and Spouse/Guests are welcome  to take advantage of the many Optional Activities and one-of-a -kind experiences the VMA Spouse Committee has carefully crafted  that highlight the history and culture of Amelia Island and specialties only found at the Ritz Carlton Amelia Island. Optional Activities are at the attendees own expense and require pre-registration and/or pre-payment.   Please purchase  optional events when you register.

 

SPOUSE/GUEST ACTIVITIES

 As part of your Spouse/Guest registration, you are welcome to take part in two special complimentary events. Join your fellow spouse/guests  beginning September 13 for a "Meet and Greet: Salt of the Earth Spouse Guest Reception"  Likewise, on September 14, go off-site to experience Fernandina Beach Trolley style on the Amelia Island Historic Trolley Tour"  Both of these events are complimentary and are part of the Spouse/Guest registration. Pre-registration is required.


HOTEL RESERVATIONS

Accommodations at the Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island have been arranged at the discounted rate of $249 per night. Discounted rates are good for the dates of September 12 - 15 ONLY Any upgrades, extension of dates, or additional costs for suites are the responsibility of the attendee and may not be available at the group rate. Deadline to make reservations at the discounted rate is August 18th 2017.

CHANGING YOUR REGISTRATION 

If you need to change or cancel  your registration for the VMA annual meeting, please submit changes in writing to Malena Malone-Blevins at mmaloneblevins@vma.org before August 25th.

 

CANCELLATION POLICIES

  • Cancellations received up to 30 days before the event are refundable minus a 5% registration service charge.
  • Cancellations received between 15 and 29 days are 75% refundable.
  • Due to hotel and other event guarantees cancellations of registrations received between 0 – 14 days prior to the event are not refundable.
  • Deadline for cancellations or substitutions for Optional Events is August 25th.
  • All cancellations must be in writing to Malena Malone-Blevins at mmaloneblevins@vma.org

OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES CANCELLATION POLICIES 

Some events such as Kayaking, Deep Sea Fishing and A Day at the Beach require pre-payment.  All cancellations for pre-paid events must be in writing to mmaloneblevins@vma.org by August 25th.  If cancellations are not received before that date, there will be no refund given. If optional activities do not meet the minimum requirement for carrying out the event, the event will be cancelled and pre-payment monies will be refunded.
