The 2018 Valve Industry Knowledge Forum, Exhibits & Tours will be held April 11-13, 2018 in Savannah GA and is open to VMA/VRC members and industry non-members. The Forum is new this year and will present three tracks of education for attendees: Technical, Manufacturing & Human Resources. A joint event means more meaningful dialogue between different segments of our industry during tours and networking opportunities. An Early-Bird rate available for attendees and exhibitors through February 23.

2018 VALVE  INDUSTRY KNOWLEDGE FORUM INFORMATION

The new Valve Industry Knowledge Forum combines the best of three different VMA meetings to create one education-packed event with three distinct educational tracks:

A joint event means more meaningful dialogue between different segments of our industry, an expansion of the attendee base and the ability for individuals to learn about various areas of the valve business

 

A LITTLE ABOUT SAVANNAH

Savannah has long been known for it's history as a charming Southern city where art, period architecture, trendy boutiques and ghost stories are all set under a veil of Spanish moss. Consistently named one of the “world’s friendliest cities” by Condé Nast Traveler this coastal town has a world-class reputation for hospitality and grace and makes the perfect backdrop for this year's Knowledge Forum. 

 

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT HOURS

VMA will be providing attendees a certificate for twelve (12) Professional Development Hours for attending the Knowledge Forum. Certificates will be given to attendees at the conclusion of the program on April 13.

 

REGISTRATION INFORMATION - EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION THROUGH FEBRUARY 23

Early-bird registration fees for VMA/VRC members will be $545 through February 23, and $595 thereafter. Early-bird registration fees for non-members will be $595 through February 23 and $645 thereafter. Your registration fee covers the two-day seminar, speaker handouts, exhibit program, networking events and all food functions, including continental breakfasts, breaks, lunch and welcome reception. Registration is open to all VMA/VRC members and industry non-members. Last day to register for this event online is April 7, 2018.

 

REGISTERING ADDITIONAL ATTENDEES - EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION THROUGH FEBRUARY 23

Registration discounts apply when registering more than one person from a member or non-member company.  The registration fee for additional registrants for VMA/VRC members is $445 through February 23 and $495 thereafter. The non-member fee for additional registrants is $495 through February 23 and $545 thereafter. There is no limit to the additional attendees that can be registered, however, you must have someone from your company registered at the full member or non-member registration fee. The additional attendee registration fee includes the two-day seminar, speaker handouts, exhibit program, networking events and all food functions, including continental breakfasts, breaks, lunch and welcome reception. 

 

OPTIONAL TOURS - APRIL 11

VMA has organized two tours in conjunction with the Valve Industry Knowledge Forum. Both tours are open to all attendees, and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Both tours include transportation and lunch. Your registration fee does not include these tours. A separate ticket must be purchased. 

 

GULFSTREAM AEROSPACE. Participants will visit Gulfstream’s headquarters and tour the Gulfstream G650 manufacturing facility. Gulfstream’s Research and Development campus in Savannah is a shared base for more than 1,500 employees who develop and test next-generation aviation concepts.

 

MITSUBISHI HITACHI POWER SYSTEMS/SAVANNAH MACHINERY WORKS. Attendees will explore Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems/Savannah Machinery Works, where the world’s most advanced gas turbines are manufactured. During this tour of over 500,000 square feet of manufacturing space, participants will see component manufacturing of combustion systems, advance machining of gas turbine rotors, high speed balance and testing, and final assembly of gas turbines.

 

HOTEL RESERVATIONS

Accommodations for the Valve Industry Knowledge Forum have been arranged with The DeSoto Hotel, 15 East Liberty Street, Savannah, GA. The discounted rate is $189 per night and is available April 10-13, 2018. The last day to make reservations at this special rate is March 12, 2018.

REGISTRATION CANCELLATION POLICY

  • Cancellations received up to 30 days in before the event are refundable minus a 5% registration service charge
  • Cancellations received between 15 and 29 days before the event are 75% refundable.
  • Due to hotel and other event guarantees, cancellations received between 0-14 days before the event are non-refundable.
  • Substitutions are allowed but must be given to Malena Malone-Blevins (mmaloneblevins@vma.org) by April 7.
