ABOUT THE MAZAK TOUR ( included with registration fee )

Attendees have been invited to tour Mazak’s ever-expanding Manufacturing and National Technology Center in Florence, KY. This is an opportunity to tour arguably the most successful machine tool company in world. Mazak has been manufacturing some of the world’s most advanced Multi-Tasking, five-axis, turning and milling machines since 1974 in this facility and many of these machines currently are being used in valve manufacturing throughout the world.

The tour will open with buffet lunch generously hosted by Mazak. After lunch, Brian Papke, president of Mazak, will kick off a half-day tour of the plant and share with us his philosophy and commitment to continuous investment and product improvement that has resulted in 15 plant expansions in the past 30 years, including the recently completed 200,000-square-foot expansion. The tour will conclude at Mazak’s National Technology Center, highlighting a number of the company’s state-of-the-art machines, some of which were developed specifically with valve manufacturing in mind.
